Why Full Payment is Required in Advance

At Smoky Mountain Labradors, we require 100% payment in advance to secure your puppy reservation. Raising a litter of healthy, happy pups is a massive commitment that includes medical care (including surgical implants or C-sections when needed), around-the-clock attention, and daily socialization from birth.

Over the years, we have found that requiring full payment ensures serious, committed families are matched with our puppies. Given the immense demand and the wait time of typically 6 to 9 months advance payment also allows us to prioritize communication and build strong relationships with our puppy families right from the start.

Sales Tax Information

Sales tax may be applicable based on the state in which you reside. We are happy to walk you through the details when you begin the reservation process to ensure full transparency and clarity.

Choosing Your Puppy

At Smoky Mountain Labradors, we maintain the right to select puppies for our clients. We do this because as breeders, we are focused on placing the right puppy with the right family, based on temperament, personality, and your needs.



We do not allow buyers to pick from the litter randomly. Instead, we match puppies carefully to ensure a perfect fit, taking into consideration the best interests of both the puppy and the family.

Can I Visit My Puppy Before Pick-Up?

To protect the health and safety of all our puppies, we do not allow visitors to meet the litter prior to the scheduled pick-up date. However, we believe strongly in communication and connection during the waiting period!

We will send you regular updates and photos after your puppy’s 9–10 week veterinarian check, so you can see their growth and development. This approach minimizes the risk of disease exposure and ensures that your puppy remains healthy until the day you bring them home.

Puppy Pricing

The nationwide demand for Smoky Mountain Labrador puppies is overwhelming and humbling. Most of our puppies are reserved well before they are born.

Our English Labrador Retriever puppies are priced at three distinct levels:

• Level 1: Gene’s Pick – Call for pricing
• Level 2: Premium – $9,500
• Level 3: Special – $7,500

Please note: The cost of professional puppy training is not included in the prices above. Training services are available separately and can be customized to your needs.

Our No-Refund Policy

Due to the extensive planning, medical costs, and labor involved in breeding and raising our puppies, all payments are non-refundable. We encourage each family to be absolutely certain about their decision before committing to a Smoky Mountain Labrador. Responsible puppy ownership is a lifelong commitment, and we take our role in this journey very seriously.

What’s Included with Your Puppy

When you bring home a Smoky Mountain Labrador puppy, you receive much more than just a beautiful dog. Each puppy comes with:

• A signed contract and detailed ownership documentation
• A sales receipt for your records
• A health guarantee covering hip and elbow dysplasia
• (If your puppy does not pass appropriate health clearances, we will replace your pup with another of equal quality at no cost to you.)
• American Kennel Club (AKC) limited registration paperwork
• (Note: This means the puppy cannot be bred or shown in conformation events.)
